Oyster Seed Holdings would like to supply to you oysters in the form of eyed larvae and seed.
Eyed larvae refers to pre-set oyster larvae in its final stage before settlement and subsequent metamorphosis for use in remote setting (spat-on-shell) operations.
Oyster seed refers to post-set oysters that have already completed metamorphosis on micro-cultch and are ready for grow-out in an appropriate nursery system. These are cultchless or single oysters typically used in intensive oyster culture where grow-out occurs in some sort of containment unit such as a cage, bag, or float.
These two products are available from various different stocks.
